Cross Section

Description

The addon creates cross-sections on selected meshes.

Requirements:

Blender 2.83 and above.

Installation

Blender 4.2 and newer:

• Drag and drop the zip file into blender to install the addon as an extension.

Blender 4.1 and older:

• Open the Edit-> Preferences ->Add-ons
• Click on install button and point to the downloaded zip file.
• The addon will be listed. Enable the addon by adding a check mark

Addon Install

A new menu called Create Sections is added to the Object Menu.

Usage:

Select the object to create sections from and click on Create Sections

The axes and the intervals in MM can be changed to get appropriate sections. By default, all the axes are selected and the interval is set to 100 mm.

The resulting sections are created in the collections X_sections, Y_sections and Z_section.
